Anchoring

Can you provide the location of the morning cleats and how mooring lines will be prevented from rubbing on the boat.   What is the anticipated SW1370 carrying capacity before impact on performance?  Will the anchor be able to be controlled from the helm? What type of anchor winch is on the standard boat? Does the windlass have a rope capstan? How does the vertical anchor windlass rope capstan work on my Seawind and what would I use it for

Cockpit

Does the Lewmar electric winch come with Lewmar ELS controls? How is the steering setup on the 1370 and is there an emergency tiller option? Where can I hang a hammock on the 1370 cockpit? The earlier 1370 models had the cockpit fridge / freezer on the port side helm. What is is the standard installation?

Electrical

Is it possible to have five MPPTs? One for the two rear panels, one on either side for the middle three panels, and one on either side for the two front panels. This is to reduce the shadow effect.  Shouldn’t the MPPT regulators be split across the port to starboard because one side could be shaded by the boom?   I would like to get the new generation of lights — Aqualuma’s GEN 5 Thru-Hull range. The 24 Series is our largest Thru-Hull option? Are their fire carbon monoxide detectors or fire and smoke detectors.  Do you need a generator for the washer/dryer or washing machine?   We want to cruise globally. Should we go 110v or 240v for a circumnavigation? Can you walk us through the lightning protection system?   Do you need a generator for the washer/dryer? Are there larger alternators available to charge my lithium batteries? Is the Seawind 1370 run on 12 or 24 volt? What type of 12v USB outlets are used? Do the General Purpose Outlets (GPOs) have a USB plug included If I upgrade to C-zone DC, can I use it to control light dimming in the boat? How does the Dual Voltage Charging option work? Is there service access to the electrical equipment under the navigation desk on the 1370? How do I Reset my Mastervolt Lithium batteries? What does the Mac Plus DC to DC converter do on my 1370? Can I charge My 12v AGM start batteries from my 24v Lithium House Bank from my 1370? Does Seawind offer a US style split phase 240V system on the 1370?

Engines

Are the mechanical and electronically controlled 57 HP Yanmar diesels the same motor? What is the estimated cruising range for the 40hp & 57hp Yanmar engines on one tank of diesel? What are the Gori propeller sizes for the 3 blade folding propeller for 40hp and 57hp?   What engine controls are available? Is engine access external only?   What is the standard warranty period for the Yanmar diesel engines? Are common rail diesel engines more prone to issues with dirty fuel such as “Fuel Bug”? If I select the fuel polishing system, can I transfer fuel from one tank to another? What happens if the digital throttle controls fail, and how can I control the engine in an emergency?

Exterior Layout, General Arrangements

How do you access the saloon roof to get to the mast base or sail bag ?  Above the sheets and lines bin, there appears to be a lazarette with hinges. What is that for?   Can you close off the owner’s hull to the saloon in the 1370? Is there a slider, or another door there?   Is there a watertight bulkhead in the front sail store locker as shown in the section?   What is the height from the keel to the top of the saloon roof? What is the size of the windows in the salon and galley?  Can you walk on the panels?   What is the standard starboard forward cabin arrangement in the 1370? Is the workshop standard? What is the headroom in the 1370?

Fabric/Colour Selection

With the carbon coach roof – can you explain the colour and if black – wouldn’t you expect it to be hot?   Logo ordering and placement – how and when does that happen? What are the Bed sizes? 

Galley

Is there a fridge in the galley, or is that freezer near the nav station going to be the only refrigeration?   Are the two LP tanks there to supply both the BBQ and the galley cooktop? How many gals per bottle? What are the other benchtop items in the galley next to the sinks?   Are you considering the galley down option?   Are there fiddles on the galley benchtops? How large is the freezer and where is it? How do you stop the cookware from sliding around on the induction cook top? What are the sizes of the sinks in the 1370 galley?

General Seawind 1370 FAQ's

It seems that there is an obvious tradeoff between freezer space and the nav station. Has any thought been given to reducing the space of the nav station in order to increase freezer size? Also, is there a fridge in the galley, or is that a freezer ? What is the approximate deadline for finalizing options. For example, if I have a build slot scheduled to finish in Nov 2025, when would I need to finalize options by? Rod holders for fishing are they already included – what is the location? Will all the stainless steel be 316?   Seawind 1370 Technical Book The 1370 hull is infused in 3 seperate parts and then joined. Will that have a negative effect on the structure? What type of antifoul is used on my 1370 hull and Saildrive Leg?

Mast And Rigging

Are the electric winches 2 speed?   How do I check my forestay and furler on my Seawind 1370?

Navigation & instrumentation

What is the steering design and can you describe the steering system?  Is it possible to install Raymarine or Garmin navigation instruments? What AIS and VHF options are offered on the Seawind 1370? What is a typical 1370 layout for the B&G instruments? What is the standard layout at the 1370 primary helm for a 12 inch chartplotter and autopilot? What is an Ultrasonic Transducer and what is their benefit?

Plumbing

We are interested to have a UV filter for the freshwater drinking water, the acuva arrow 5 UV-LED Water Purifier? Is this something that we could have instead of the carbion water filter? Any concern about heat transfer from the washer to the black water tank?   Would it be possible to have a small saltwater faucet or tap in the galley?   Will there be an option for 1 sink?   Are the 1370 electric toilets salt water or freshwater flushed? What the the different ways to heat water on the boat How does the grey water system work on the 1370? How are the baffles laid out in the Seawind 1370 Water Tank and how can I clean the tank?

Safety

What is the drogue attachment anticipated strength and has it been tested?  How big are the sugar scoops on the transom of the 1370, and will they be easily accessible from the side docking position?  I plan to have an electric motor outboard for the dinghy. Will there be power outlets near the transom for charging option?   Is the 1370 transom ladder similar to the folding Seawind 1260, with round bar steps?

Sail Hardware

Why is there no carbon boom, canoe boom option?   Do the Harken two speed winches hoist the main halyard faster than the single speed Evo Lewmar winches?

Sails & Sail Hardware

For the lightning protection option, do you have a solid clean (no sharp bends) connection from mast to copper plates on the hulls?   What is the specifications of the rigging? What are the kind and type and specifications all of the hardware being mounted, including pad eyes, hand grips, cleats, lifelines, ? Can an additional halyard be added? So that two headsails can remain up and a spinnaker can be raised.  What brands of hardware are being selected for the new Seawind 1370?  Should I get mast steps to the top of the mast, to the spreader or not at all? What sheets and lines come on the boat?  What are the sail cloth options?  How accurate are the Polar’s?  Is there a furling in-boom or mast option for the 1370? What type of clutches are used? Is there a layout for the deck gear? Where will the reefing lines be run to?

Shipping and Commissioning

Will there by inspections ports and where will they be?  Can you provide coppercoat antifouling?

Storage and Additional Equipment

Could your designers consider the size of 7ft long surfboard bags for a possible storage location inside the boat?  Will there be any storage under the saloon seats – like on 1260/1160?   Is there any storage under the doors?   Is there additional pantry storage outside of the galley?

System

Is the foam core of the laminate core-cell? Is it thermo-formed? or scored/bent with filler?   Will there be an option to have pre-wiring and/or plumbing done for any options that could be installed at a later date?  Does the carbon coach roof and carbon forebeam increase lightning strike possibilities? 

Weights

Do you have an estimate for the added weight of the Corian yet?   What is the max weight for the 1370 davits?
