The solar panels are paired and then wired in parallel so it doesn’t matter which panels are shaded, the other panels will still keep working. Only the pair that is in shade will drop in input power. The Seawind electrical team has extensive experience and conducted exhaustive planning for the Seawind 1370 – their electrical plan balances reliability, weight (MPPT controllers are heavy) and performance as described earlier. This is an area that won’t require customisation for individual boats, but rather a selection of our solar options.
