There is no advantage to having more solar regulators. It makes no difference to shading. It’s possible that you could have panels connected to one charger and if one panel was shaded then all the others would still keep working. It only matters how the panels are wired to the charger not the number of chargers. The charger does fail if one panel stops - it will happily still accept the power from all the others so long as the panels are not wired to each other before they get to the charger.
