Are the 1370 electric toilets salt water or freshwater flushed?

Published on 04/14/2026

The boat comes with two salt water flush toilets as standard.

We have an option to have a fresh water flush toilet however you can only have either fresh or salt. There is no Y-valve or changeover option.

Fesh water toilets have advantages in terms of maintenance and odour as they are less prone to internal hose buildup and certainly odour when left over time unattended. Consideration needs to be taken over the availability of fresh water however, especially if there are large groups onboard.

If using salt water toilets (which most of the industry does), one trick is to dry bowl the toilet by shutting off the inlet seacock and then running the system with freshwater from the shower head to ensure that fresh water only sits in the hoses between toilet and black water tank when leaving the boat unattended for some time.
