A The 3 blade folding Gori propeller on the base boat 40 hp Yanmar engine is an 18 x 15 prop. The SD60 sail drive gear ratio for the 40hp is 2.23:1
When upgrading to the 57hp Yanmar engine, the 3 blade Gori propeller is included in the upgrade and we use a 20 x 14 prop size. The sail drive gear ratio is also slightly different (2.49:1) as with more power, we are able to use the bigger prop at lower speed when compared to the 40 hp engine, which is more efficient. The sail drive leg on the 57hp option is also slightly longer than the standard unit, to compensate for the larger prop diameter.
