The Battery Management system (BMS) of the Mastervolt Lithium batteries does a number of functions mainly to protect your batteries. There are a number of scenarios where your BMS may trigger the battery relays to switch off and isolate the Lithium batteries, rendering them unusable until they are reset manually.
The most likely of these scenarios will simply be running the batteries below their 20% state of charge cutoff threshold.
