Cruising Story: Sailing Ruby Rose has shared their thoughts about the Seawind 1370

Terysa and Nick of Sailing Ruby Rose have recently shared their process of designing their Ruby Rose 2, aka the Seawind 1370:

“The 42 was a little bit too small. The 52 is too expensive. Terysa’s five-foot two, I’m five-foot nine. You rarely find a helm position that will accommodate both those sizes. We also want it to be completely manageable when there is lighting, no electronics or when the battery compartment is wet. This 45-footer is perfect for the size, waterline, speed, safety, the lack of hobby-horsing, all these things that satisfy the wants and needs for the live-aboard challenge.

About The Seawind 1370

This exciting model is a perfect combination of the 41ft Seawind 1260 and the 52ft Seawind 1600. It provides the best features of single level twin helms, tri-folding doors and indoor/outdoor spaciouness yet includes flat deck, high headroom in cabins and efficient hull shape. Its tri-fold door allows the cockpit and saloon to merge into a big open space, which can also be closed for security and warmth in changing weather conditions. Its toughened glass windows can be opened for natural light and ventilation. Furthermore, the master suite allows for a queen-sized bed, walk-in wardrobe and the cockpit features a stylish cocktail bar and spacious transom lounge.
