A Seawind 1260 Circumnavigation: Klaus and Andrea’s Journey Around the World For Klaus and Andrea Müller, the dream of sailing around the world became a real-life Seawind 1260 circumnavigation. Aboard their Seawind 1260, the German couple set out from Vietnam on a bluewater cruising journey that would take them across the Indian Ocean, around South Africa, through the Caribbean, across the Pacific, onward...
For David and Sarah, SAVID has become more than a performance catamaran. She has proven herself as a safe, comfortable and livable offshore home. Across more than 3,000 nautical miles, their view of boat ownership gradually evolved. What began as a focus on performance, design and equipment became a deeper appreciation for the qualities that...
From Seawind 1170 to Seawind 1370: An Owner’s Journey Built on Confidence During a recent factory visit, Seawind owners Simon and Nicole Cameron came to see the progress of their Seawind 1370 currently in build. We had the opportunity to hear their sharing about the journey with Seawind. For them, choosing a cruising catamaran has never been just a single decision. It has been...
The story below was shared by Khaled and Katrin, crew of the Seawind 1260 NISMA and members of a group of four Seawind catamarans traveling together through the Bangka Belitung region of Indonesia. In the early hours of November 12, during a severe thunderstorm, their companion boat NO REGRETS was struck directly by lightning while all four boats were...

The Meet and Greet at RQYS, which kicked off the regatta was a lovely way to meet Seawind owners we didn’t know and reconnect with others. Saturday...
A Q&A with the Crew of Pure Joy Discover more about Pure Joy and why the Poole family chose the Seawind 1600 to join the World ARC 2025–2026 Seawind 1600 Passagemaker owners Joy and David Poole, along with their eight-year-old son Elliot, are currently sailing around the world aboard Pure Joy as part of the...
When we started seriously dreaming of sailing around the world with our eight-year-old son, we had one non-negotiable: our boat had to be as much a home as a high-performing bluewater cruiser. She needed to be safe, fast, and manageable for two people — but also comfortable enough to live aboard for years. After much...
We took delivery of our new Seawind 1600 Passagemaker in Seattle in the spring of 2024. The boat is named “BumBle” as that’s where my partner and i met and, given her initials are “BB”, both the “B”s are capitalized… I’m a romantic at heart! Shortly after finishing our commissioning process we set off from...
When we last left off, we were anchored in the lush green embrace of Santubong, Borneo. Since then, we’ve continued our journey with the Sail Malaysia Rally, which began in April and runs until the end of August, if you manage to survive it all. Discover Part 1 of the journey here It’s been just...
