There has been three new Seawind 1000XL2s delivered to the United States in recent weeks and?their owners have very different stories.
Matt and Carla Webb took delivery of their New 1000XL2 Lagnaippe after taking the complete sailing course from Southern California Seawind dealer West Coast Multihulls. There final class was on a Seawind 1160 in nearby Catalina, during the annual Seawind West Coast Rally in 2011. That was all it took to make them realize a catamaran was in their future, and it would be a Seawind. There are now living aboard in San Diego, with plans to retire and go cruising as soon as possible.
“TWO CAN DO” – PICTURED ABOVE AT THE 2013 CATALINA RALLY
Richard and Roswitha Hutson have owned 3 Seawinds prior to taking delivery of their newest Seawind, Two Can Do. After selling their 1160 Paradise Express in 2009, they thought they were done with boating. They had owned two 1000s previously and once they decided condo living was not their cup of tea, the New 1000XL2 caught their fancy and the order was placed. With numerous years of cruising in Mexico and the Sea of Cortez on previous Seawinds, dont be surprised to see them heading south for warmer water and the West Coasts version of Margaritaville!
