The Seawind gelcoat supply has changed minimally over the years of production as we aim to keep consistencey with our products and our appearance. However, gelcoat repairs are a part of boating life and the below information can assist colour matching our gelcoats.
- Australian Production
- For Boats Built in Australia from 2006 until production moved to Vietnam in 2013, all white gelcoat was supplied by Fibre Glass International (FGI), later renamed as Allnex. The gelocat range was called Aquaguard and the colour was "Polar White"
- The nearest RAL color comparing to our old Australian white is the RAL 9016 "Traffic white"
- Note: the Australian white gelcoat is a much creamier coloured gelcoat, when compared to the more stark white currently used in Vietnam.

- Vietnam Production
- Vietnamese production changed to the Corsair Marine International gelcoat also supplied by Allnex (Vietnam) however as of the time of writing this article (Feb 2024), the gelcoat has subsequently been colour matched and is supplied by Scott Bader since est 2018. The white gelcoat is called "Belgrade White" with product code GC LS 98PA. Data sheet attached.

- Additional Products
- Grey Gelcoat: For the Seawind 1170 and 1370, we use grey gelcoat on the cabintops.. This gelcoat is from Allnex in Vietnnam with a RAL # of 7038. Data Sheet Attached
- The internal bilge Grey flowcoat is RAL # 7035 as at Feb 2024.
Note: Even when using multinational companies such as Allnex and Scott Bader, two of the largest resin and gelcaot suppliers in the marine industry, the base materials can vary from country to country and there can be variations in colour. Combined with UV fading over time, gelcoat repairs should only be colour matched by a professional for a high quality blend line or repair.
