01 · Getting here
Arriving in İzmir
The closest and most convenient airport is İzmir Adnan Menderes Airport (ADB), approximately 18 km south of İzmir city centre.
The airport serves domestic and international flights and is well connected to the city by train, bus, taxi and rental car. For visitors travelling from Scandinavia, direct and connecting flights vary by season. Direct services may operate from Copenhagen and Stockholm, while other cities commonly connect through Istanbul or another European hub.
Our recommendation
For maximum flexibility, search for flights directly to ADB — İzmir Adnan Menderes Airport. If you plan to visit both the factory and the boats in Yeni Foça, rent a car at the airport or arrange a private airport transfer with the Seawind team.

Direct flights between Copenhagen Airport (CPH) and İzmir Airport (ADB) take approximately 3 hours 15 minutes. SunExpress currently operates the route; check the latest seasonal schedule before booking.

03 · Transfers
From the airport to Yeni Foça
By car or taxi
For international visitors, a private transfer, taxi or rental car is usually the easiest option, especially with luggage. From İzmir Airport, follow the main İzmir–Çanakkale road north towards Menemen and Foça/Yeni Foça. Allow approximately 1–1.5 hours, depending on traffic and your final destination.
By public transport
Follow signs at the airport for İZBAN / Metro and travel north towards Menemen / Aliağa. A transfer may be required. Continue from a northern İZBAN station, such as Hatundere or Biçerova, using a local ESHOT bus towards the Foça area. Timetables can change, so check current İZBAN and ESHOT services on the day of travel.
For a first visit, particularly after an international flight, a taxi or arranged transfer is considerably easier.
Accessing the factory
The factory is located inside the İzmir Free Zone. Arrange your visit with the Seawind team in advance so visitor access can be prepared. You will need to share the identification page of your passport or ID with Seawind staff for official entry registration.

Yeni Foça & Foça
Yeni Foça is a relaxed coastal town north of İzmir and a convenient base for visiting Seawind. Nearby Eski Foça, or Old Foça, is one of the region’s most attractive historic seaside towns.

Explore the harbour, waterfront and old stone streets, then enjoy dinner by the sea.
Aegean dining
Fresh seafood, olive-oil dishes and traditional Turkish meze are local highlights.
Boat trips
In warmer months, daily trips explore the islands and bays surrounding Foça.
İzmir
Visit Kordon, Alsancak, Kemeraltı Bazaar, Konak Square and the Clock Tower.
Pergamon
The ancient city and Acropolis of Pergamon make an excellent additional day trip.
Ephesus
One of Türkiye’s most important archaeological sites, best planned as a dedicated day.

We normally recommend staying in Yeni Foça rather than central İzmir. It offers a relaxed Aegean atmosphere and easy access to both the factory and Oasis Marina.

A two-day Seawind visit
Day 1 — Factory & arrival
Morning / midday
Arrive at İzmir Adnan Menderes Airport, collect your rental car or meet your arranged transfer, and travel north towards Menemen.
Afternoon
Visit the Seawind Catamarans Türkiye factory for a welcome, production tour, technical discussion and walk-through of the Seawind 1170 production line.
Late afternoon & evening
Drive to Yeni Foça, check in, then enjoy a waterfront walk and dinner by the sea.
Day 2 — Seawind 1170 & Foça
Morning
Meet at the Seawind Catamarans Europe Handover & Service Centre at Oasis Marina for a boat walk-through and technical presentation.
Test sail
Subject to weather and boat availability, experience the Seawind 1170 under sail in the Aegean and explore its design philosophy, performance and handling.
Afternoon & evening
Lunch in Yeni Foça, followed by technical, commercial or dealer discussions. Later, drive to Old Foça for a harbour walk and Aegean seafood dinner.
Optional third day
İzmir city day
Kordon, Alsancak, Kemeraltı and central İzmir.
Pergamon
Visit the ancient city and Acropolis.
Ephesus
Plan a dedicated full-day visit.
Additional sailing

Open House schedule
For our Open House event on 7–8 November, we recommend flying directly to İzmir, staying in Yeni Foça for two nights and using a rental car rather than public transport.
Day 1
Factory visit and production tour. Seawind 1170 test sail from Oasis Marina.
Day 2
Supplier meetings, going through options list in detail.
This gives enough time to experience not only our manufacturing operation and the boat itself, but also the beautiful Aegean environment where Seawind Europe is based.
