Classic Audi Hamilton Island Race Week sees Renaissance finish top

Congratulations to Brett Kimmorley and the crew on Renaissance on winning Multihull Cruising Division 2 at Audi Hamilton Island Race Week. Renaissance never dropped lower than 2nd overall – despite a challenging mid week drop, but held on to win the division by 2 points over Kevin Lord’s Overture.

Of the 14 Seawind Catamarans that made up the division, it was the 1250 from 2015 which came out on top. But had Renaissance finished 6th in the final race, with Overture winning it, then it would have been the Seawind 1000 which took the title! Renaissance finished 5th to finish the job (with Overture 2nd).

The Seawind 1160 Talisker eventually finished 4th in Multihull Cruising Division 1. So well done on all 15 of the Seawind Catamarans at Hamilton Island this year!
